Do these threads prevent the tornadoes?

If I recall, a few years ago the pow wow went from 24 hours to closing at night. Probably saved somebody's life.
They made a nice Cuban sandwich.

Being conscious of the weather on days where there is a heightened risk is only a bad thing on the OT.

No but it certainly brings awareness and a more localized focus on storm forecasts
I earned a great deal of respect for the weather threads when they accurately predicted the flood of 2016 10 days ahead of time

These threads make people aware. I appreciate the hell out of them. Especially after last night.

Quit being an idiot.
No, they dont prevent tornadoes. They do help the people in the path of theses storms know what to expect and where they can expect it. This line is heading toward my town where my wife and child are. Im at work and so is she. But I can come here when I get a free minute and get updates and pass any pertinent info onto her.
If it bothers you that much, dont click on the thread. Or are you just trying to be one of the "cool" kids?

We have several people from our office trapped inside their homes in the Ruston area.
Shreveport didn't get much of anything, then I drove over for work this morning and it's pure chaos over here.

Pretty cool to go out of your way to be edgy in a thread with people living in Ruston

Did Tech’s campus get hit?
The baseball and softball stadiums and the homes right outside campus took the hit
Campus proper is ok. They canceled class today (obviously)
