If you have an artery in the location that is 100% blocked then the answer is whatever that artery was feeding is dead or dying. Not complicated.

I have the same, they thought gastritis or whatever, had endoscopy, blood work, everything checked out fine. Still don't know what it is, comes and goes. More so at the top of my abs left side, just below the rib cage.

A few possibilities, and I’ve lived through all of them.
Pleurisy- a course of prednisone would help.
GERD- modify diet, take a PPI, such as Prilosec or Protonix
IBS- diet again, low FODMAP foods for awhile.

If you’re having left upper quadrant pain that’s worse with food: gastritis, peptic ulcer disease
Most common: rib fractures (frequently missed on X-rays, which are only ~70% sensitive), intercostal muscle strain, costochondritis
GI: inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis. Pancreatitis seems unlikely based on location and lack of radiation
Urinary: kidney stones, UTIs, renal mass
Zebras: splenic abscess or infarcts

Sounds like OP needs to go see a pain specialist

Scrolled thru the first page and not one reply claiming "AIDS"!

What if he's a fatty that's perpetually gasping for air and has developed long term side splints?

Because those that say it never have a high tolerance and usually quite the opposite

So strange. Been having the same thing. Open up the OT and there is a whole thread on it. Mine isn’t sensitive to touch, seems to come and go. Walking seemed to help a lot, made me think it was gas?
