tOT: Only people who pay property tax should be able to vote on property taxes.

also tOT: Stupid renters, every cent of property tax is passed on to you and included in your rent.

I will buy in on that. I pay a mortgage, so I only get half a vote. Then that means the bank is paying half of the property tax, right?

Renters definitely have property taxes built in to their rents. If property taxes go up, so does rent.

Shrink the size of government and don’t pay property tax at all.

Some how, some way, we gotta pay for Ukraine and Russia to kick each others dicks, or China and Taiwan, or North and South Korea, or Israel and whoever they're pissed off at now.

Get born. Do well in school. Get a good job. Pay 22% of your income the rest of your life. Buy a home. Pay property taxes on that the rest of your life. Pay taxes on everything you ever purchase. Die, and pay taxes on that too.

So let me get this straight, we’ve had multiple discussions on people not being able to purchase affordable homes because of companies buying up affordable property to “rent” and you want to base voting on property ownership?

You'd have to have adjusted gross income of about $175k for this to be accurate

So do section 8 recipients get every cent of property tax passed on to them?

I am not a rental property expert, but I have a problem with people who don't pay property tax voting to increase mine. Maybe I am missing something.

And do not, under any circumstances, ask for more in return of your tax dollars - such as healthcare or expanded social services. If you do you're just a leach and a Libturd.

completely impossible to do it, but yes that should be the rule when voting on any issue involving property taxes and exemptions

should also be you have to have a job to vote as well, if you dont work you have a clear conflict of interest to vote for those sending you a gubment check each month to live on

Exactly. Billionaires and corporations would build mega mansions and the like with the sole intention of pricing you out of property ownership and the voting right that is attached to it.

What percentage of renters overall are Section 8? Something like only 3-4% of Americans even qualify for Section 8 housing.

That seems like a big opinion to have based on such a small percentage of renters in totality.

Good to see you don't understand how you are taxed in the slightest.
