I wish I could share her wishful thinking but I'm aware that there are many ways this could play out. I don't sleep good at night, I can tell you that much.
The neighbor Luda tried to leave today with her daughter but there was only one bus and there was no room for them.
I hope they come to some sort of agreement, because I know the longer this goes on, the more civilians will suffer. I'm afraid this is only the tip of the iceberg. How much suffering is the world prepared to allow before they demand Putin put an end to this madness?

I think the western world will move on him sooner than you think. In other words, Ukraine is the only shite he's going to try or get away with. This does not count Moldova which is an entrance mat for Romania.

Why is Ukrainian suffering the world's responsibility? Ukraine is not exactly the first nation to deal with hostilities in the last century. Is every country responsible for every other in the world? Do we need a global police force?

I'm hoping his friends turn on him as well. China can't be happy about NATO countries putting more money into their militaries. The Russian billionaires can't be happy with losing money. The Russian people won't be happy with their soldiers dying or seeing Ukrainian civilians killed.
Putin screwed up on this one and he knows it. The Ukrainians have stood up to the bully. Lets hope his ego doesn't drag this on too long.

Man what are you waiting for. You need to try and get to Poland then see if there is a way to get her there. You know in your mind you should be there. This could have been taken care of way before this even if they had just gone to western most Ukraine then seen how things are. Too late for that now. Get there. Maybe there are people going in a getting specific people?

I'm not saying that or advocating for American troops in Ukraine. I just think this is going to play out for the world to see. As the images of the civilian suffering plays through the media the more the world will turn on Putin, including his own country. I'm asking the question, "At what point will the world have seen enough and demand he end this?"

Hey N2DaWild…
The poli board is claiming none of this is real and it’s all just theater. Especially the bombing of the hospital yesterday.
Can you confirm that this is all fake so we can move on with our lives? TIA

I can confirm the windows were blown out of the hospital where my wife worked, with pictures.

Are not most world leaders already doing this?

My bet is that Putin will wreck Ukraine and take the ethnically Russian half of the country in the east, or somewhere thereabouts generally.
That is about the only agreement I see him accepting, since no one wanted to listen to him before and now that he’s all-in.

I think China and Russia telling Putin to back down will carry much more weight than the West. I do believe the West will increase its pressure as well though. As the world's populations turn more against Putin, the politicians will follow.
I get where you are coming from, I actually do. If Russia would have rolled over Ukraine in 2 days, the world probably wouldn't have done much about it. The fact that Ukraine is standing up to the bully and our enemy has captured the world's attention and hearts and its changing the narrative. The fact that people are watching it happen will only grow the disgust at what they are seeing and grow the support to stop it.

That could have been his initial goal, but I think that has already changed. Putin has asked for Crimnea to be declared Russian territory, Luhansk and Donetsk to be given their independence and that Ukraine changes their constitution to where they will remain neutral and not join NATO. That in itself would be a victory for Ukraine, because they could maintain their government, be done with a stalemated civil war and NATO doesn't want them anyway.
Zelensky isn't agreeing to this though. Its reported he would give up the NATO idea but doesn't want to give up what is legally Ukrainian territory.
I personally would like to see Zelensky take the deal. Those territories don't want to be part of Ukraine anyway. We will see who gives in first at this point and it might hinge on who has the momentum on the battlefield. All I care about is, the longer it takes, the more civilians die.

Thank you. I'm staying strong but it is harder then people might be able to imagine. I read shite like "Chernobyl could explode", "America warns of Putin using biological weapons" and it rips me apart. Not to mention hearing bombs drop in the background while I talk to my wife on video calls.
I love my wife and I care very much about her family, but if somethings happens to that baby I'm going to lose my mind. As an older parent, I actually have more appreciation for that child and was able to spend my whole day with her. I hate just being apart from her, but under these circumstances it is beyond difficult.

I haven't commented much. But man, I've been following this thread however constantly hoping to see good news from you.
I'm praying for you bro. You will hold your baby again. And you will kiss your wife again. Can't wait to see that update, whenever that may be.
Godspeed.

Is the baby yours or from a different marriage?

The pregnancy was from IVF in Kiev but she is mine. I actually did a paternity test to verify, seriously.
