I'm sorry to hear this. From your past posts, it sounded like she never intends to leave unless forced to. If it were just her life at danger, then that is one thing, but I can't imagine how you feel right now with an innocent daughter in that environment. Try to not worry about what you can't do and focus on what you can do, even if it's just something that might help give you piece of mind. The minute you give up is the minute you will start having regrets. Don't put yourself there. Godspeed

Yeah that is my wife. She has been a good wife and good to me but she is headstrong.
Ukrainian won't show it, but I know she is scared, stressed and worried. I get upset because she won't leave but I also have to be careful not to tear her down. She is fragile emotionally right now even if she won't show it. I don't agree with her decision but I also have to let her know that it will be okay.
Just a little side note. Her son is doing online classes right now. I guess you can't let a few bombs make you miss school.

Thank you Buck. As long as they are safe I will be okay.

This is just me thinking, but maybe if you were able to get her, her family and friends visas, maybe some of them who would rather come here until things settled could convince her to leave too. Again, it's just me thinking of any ideas that might help you get your daughter to safety.

Possibly. I think the Ukrainians they let in will have to have relatives here, so the government isn't stuck with the expense. They haven't announced yet how they will let them in.
She has friends in Lisichansk, but I'm not sure if that will be open for them. She has cousins in Kiev, Kharkov and sister in Russia but not family in Lisichansk besides her parents. Her parents leaving would be difficult, pets, house and they are both Doctors and needed there.
It's not a bad thought and something to monitor.

Been following your story. I hope your wife and children make it out safely. I have a friend in Ukraine in pretty bad shape. Two females, 6 children. The men are fighting or dead. Doing all I can from a couch in Alabama, and that’s not a whole of a hell lot. Anyways….wish you luck.

keep up with the thread. If I see an opportunity to help them, I will shout out to you.
If the wife doesn't leave, I'm going to look very hard at going to Ukraine. I don't see how I can get passed the roadblocks but I can see how close I can get. Perhaps it would motivate my wife to try to reach me.
If I go to Ukraine or if there is some other way I can help, reach out.

UPDATE 3/26/22
I just got an excited message from Lisa. " I convinced them to leave!!!!!". She told them of a friend that actually drove his family by car to Russia. She told me that Yulia is now looking for a driver. My wife told me weeks ago that taxi's were driving people out of Kiev for $300. That would be a bargain, I would pay them my last penny.

UPDATE 3/26/22
Just got news that they have a ride to the city of Dnipor, leaving tomorrow. They were told that this is the last chance to leave in two days they will be no way out.
Its going to be very dangerous obviously and a hard trip all the way to Poland. If they get out it will be worth it. Her parents refuse to leave. Lisa said the mother is headstrong like Yulia.

Absolutely. Right now her son can't enter America. They announced they would take refugees but they haven't said how yet. We will hang out in Europe until I can get him in.

I am so glad your wife and children are leaving. Praying for a safe evacuation and that you all have a wonderful reunion in Poland!
Perhaps your congressman can work on getting your stepson a visa now that we are accepting refugees in the US.

Anyone listen to the lara logan interview basically saying what we are seeing in ukraine is fake news? I mean wth?
Posted on 3/26/22 at 6:28 pm to bcflash
Someone should ask Laura about the multiple contractors she was fricking in Afghanistan that results in one shooting the other. She's simply a media whore.
