Lenovo was a guess because they got caught basically shitting all over their own customers' privacy last year......twice.
In any case, I know a guy that was employed by a company involved in an accounting scandal. It was pretty big local news when it happened. He seemed to have found work pretty easily.

My opinion/advice is to wait. Don't do anything rash
It seems you just found out that this is newsworthy. And when something feels like a really huge deal, that feeling usually subsides in a few days
I'd look for other employment first. Then if potential future employers even care, they will see that you're trying to leave amidst the controversy
And I've worked in healthcare, for people whose business practices I absolutely did not agree with, but I did my job to the best of my abilities without doing anything I felt uncomfortable with. I was actually fired from one doctor's office for not committing insurance fraud. And another hospital I worked for was eventually shut down. None of it was ever held against me

The worst thing you can do to attract future employers is to be unemployed, regardless of the situation.
I haven't been unemployed even one day in over 20 years, since well before I graduated college, and I agree with this 100%. but I will admit I have hired quite a few people that weren't currently employed at the time but I paid them way less than similar employed candidates since I knew they were desperate and I had all of the leverage.
The people who left a good job to work for me usually worked out better but when I found an unemployed person that worked out it was the best since I got them for cheap and they ended up being super loyal. I still would take the candidate that was leaving another long term job 9 times out of 10 though because they are way more invested but there are always exceptions.

How old are you? Is this your first job out of college?

My prior corrupt employer went bankrupt a few months after I left. There were people always coming and going but I was first to leave because it was corrupt and crashing.

Good luck finding the next sales job in the car business. It's not the end of the world to have to put Volkswagen on your resume.

Are heads gonna roll?
If so, you might jump a few levels in the transition. Sometimes, big issues only benefit lower and medium level careers.

I read page 1, the OP didn't really say anything. Has he actually given details since then?

Excellent post and OP would do well to read it.
I would also add that one of my business rules is that there is profit in chaos.
The cream really rises to the top in periods of turmoil. Be a leader and a doer right now and you will get noticed.
You may come out of this in much better shape, career-wise, than you were before.

No.
This is the worst attention thread I've ever seen .

Unless they've had you staying at the office deleting emails and shredding documents.....I don't see why you are worried
Posted on 3/27/16 at 9:04 am to AbitaFan08
Why do you have to say "so" at the beginning of your statement?
You could just say, "I'm quitting my job Monday."
This 'so' shite is beginning to drive me nuts.

Ah yes. This is the thread to mark attention whoring. It's not possible that maybe I could get some information in here about how to quit, whether or not to quit, how to approach new employers, etc. No, that's a real long shot. Go frick yourself.
Ok here's some advice. I was in a similar situation. NEVER say anything negative about your former employer (basically everything you stated in the OP) while interviewing with a potentially new employer. If they ask why your're leaving (or have left), just say "I'm seeing some changes within the organization that will possibly have a negative impact on my future income and I'm ready to make a career change".
I promise you, if you go into negative details (however true they may be) during an interview, they won't hire you. They'll think, this is the type of guy that talks trash about an employer and one day, he may do the same to us.
I learned the hard way. Don't do what I did.
ETA: And don't quit one job without having secured the next job.

So your scared you'll be indicted soon. Is that what your telling us?

Three things:
Op is an attention whore. Nobody can really help him and he knew that.
People losing jobs all over Louisiana so you quitting makes you unsympathetic.
Op and GTG need to get a room.
