I really don't ever drink at a restaurant due to the prices. It's ridiculous but in a way good as it makes me not want to drink.

Stopping drinking makes going out to dinner seem cheap. My restaurant tabs reduced by half when I cut out the alcohol.

What’s a ‘nose beer?’

Haven’t drank in many years. Just not interested

Day 4! How we looking?
Yesterday was going to Haydel’s on Magazine and beforehand slid by the Bulldog for a Guinness from the most pleasant barkeep in NOLA (IYKYK). So one unit yesterday.

I think I’m at 4 units total through Day 3 of ‘26.

That daily average will drop; I’m on quality over quantity though.

One pour of a Macallan 18 is more expensive than a 12 pack of Natty.

Maybe “better” for your health.

“Best” is a much bigger word that does not include “occasional THC in the mix” (which means daily), as well as a radical change to your diet and probably your activity level.

Good luck on your extreme makeover.

Appreciate the advice Richard Simmons.

Anyone else just decided to go sober 100% and how’s that going? Was social settings an adjustment?

Zero alcohol since Oct 2024 after 35 years of drinking with few breaks (I’d do 6-9 months off from 2017 forward and recall stints in school with no drinking).

Social situations are easy. Being around drunk people is amusing for a bit. Then we usually leave before the serious partying begins. Don’t miss any of it at all.

So far so good. Had to catch myself a couple of times almost ordering a drink at the golf course and restaurant the past couple days. Didn’t even want one, just a habit. Dry January rolls on. Keep it up baws.

No

And no one cares

The amount of male social posturing from dry January to no nut November is exhausting. Don't be quitter. You're being manipulated. Shoot more guns, eat more meat, life fulfilled.
