But since you brought up that irrelevant nugget, you spend more of your time getting gas in your car than I do charging my car, so now what?

Let’s do a 400 mile drive. You can take your EV And I’ll take my truck. Who will spend more time refueling?

You spend more of your life dicking around with refueling than EV owners. If you really love gas stations, cool.

False. I can refuel a truck in 5 minutes and drive 600+ miles

How much time do you spend at gas stations in a year?

I have a Toyota hybrid. Love it. I’ll take a hybrid all day, want nothing to do with all electric.

Sure as hell wasn't 50% to 100% in 15 mins

Must've been 20% to 70% or something in that area. That would've given you 160 miles give or take for $20

Let's say the avg mpg is 22 (could be higher) so with $2.50/gal in BR that'll be 8 gallons so 176 miles.

Yes EVs are slightly more expensive where you really get fricked is time in this regard. Probably takes 2-3 mins instead of 15. That has to count for something.

Regardless of his choice in high sugar packet mixed drank, he is correct. Unless the person he’s responding to is a hot shot driver, in which case he wouldn’t be in an EV anyway because no one makes a real truck.

you do realize some people with EVs never stop at a gas/charging station at all right?

that's true no matter what stupid argument you are trying to make. you spend more time at gas stations than them.

I don't care, I just fill up when i'm making a beer run. Just don't understand this "you have to spend more time charging if you are driving in a EV cross country" epeen measuring competition. Many people have EVs and also have a gas vehicle they would use for a cross country trip.... or just fly.

Time is super important to EV drivers. That’s why they charge at night and also spend 20 minutes on long distance trips charging waiting for their car to be able to work again

You having an image in your head that EV owners only "fill up" at the local Valero for 30 mins doesn't shock me at all. Oy vey.

lol whatever helps you sleep at night.

On average, EV owners drive 39 miles per day. 78% of EV owners also have a gas-powered vehicle in their household, yet they report doing a majority of their driving (87%) in their electric vehicle

Idk if this study is 100% accurate but EV’s cost just as much if not more and definitely takes up more of your time.

It depends. As for me, I’ve never stopped at a public charging station, so that is plenty of trips to and time at the gas station that I have avoided completely.
