Taps followed by the 21 gun salute had me bawling.

My father in law was a Marine tank commander who served in Korea. At his gravesite Taps was played and a current Marine honor guard in their finest dress uniforms did a 3 volley salute.

It was overwhelming emotionally, and I cried like a young child. I still have the spent shell casing a Marine gave me.

I also don’t understand how you could down vote something like this.

The flag presentation signifies the end. Neither my Father (in Virginia) nor my FIL (in Tennessee) had taps. One Uncle here had taps.

There is one musical thing from Europe that is sadder. It's the song that's played for mountaineers who are lost in the Alps. The first time I heard it, I didn't know what it was, just that it was sad. Then someone explained it.

When it’s just 1 it’s often times an accidental downvote from someone scrolling on their phone.

OP that’s really cool

I shot the 21 gun salute for over 50 funerals across numerous states as a detail and my buddy played the bugle. It was hard to find a dry eye when he started playing no matter how old the deceased was. One of the coolest things I did in the military and it was an honor. The tough ones were the ones for the young guys killed in action. We did roll call for my best friend in Iraq and after they played taps. That was rough and we went back on mission right after, I’ll never forget that as long as I live.

That's awesome. Thanks for sharing. Was it played by a person live or was it played on a USB or some other recorded medium?
