They’re not. It’s a gossip app masquerading as an app that ensures “safety for women.”
That’s what all those groups are. Literally in the screenshot on the App Store it has a poll “should I date Jake?”
I’m not single, thankfully, but I gotta feel for the dudes who are these days. It’s one thing if you’re beating women or a con artist, but shite, there are personal details being shared, first names and selfies, it’ll get out where the guy works pretty easily, I even saw a screenshot of someone saying “he ghosted me.” Like… wtf?

There's a big difference between groups with genuine intention of identifying cheaters and a group just trash talking and gossiping about guys they've been out with. This app sounds like the latter, and it's supposedly anonymous to boot.

It's supposed to be for just outing cheaters and predators, but ends up being just what this Tea app sounds like, mostly gossiping about men.
I lived it through my single friend a couple of years ago. He (late 30's) was on the dating scene and doing well, looking for an LTR and to start a family. Then his prospects shrunk down to a trickle. A female friend reached out and told him he was on the local "Are We Dating The Same Guy" group as a serial, non-serious dater just looking to hookup and not an LTR like his profile stated. He is a successful fit guy, no kids, was looking for a fit partner and would reject women who IRL were thicker than their profile pics (sorry OT'ers, I know ya'll can't relate). He sent me screen shots for months with all the gossip, nauseating.
You know what he did? Starting visiting his generational family back in Norway more and found a woman there. She's a tall, fit blonde that is very laid back. They are married and just had a baby.
American women continue to ask "Where are all the good men?". This will only continue to get worse for them.
