I learned very quickly in my job that, it didn't matter what a great job you're doing, that your clients are thrilled with your work, or anything about the work itself.
It's all about massaging the right egos in a lot of jobs in order to get what you want, no matter the circumstances. And it's sickening that that is the way things are.
