For academics the answer is ESA or Ascension. I graduated from ESA way back when
Year? I am close (or was at one time) to a lot of the group that graduated in ‘87.
Especially the ones who were kicked out and ended up at STM.

That’s why it’s cheaper down there.

All I have ever seen was weird kids from ESA

I should probably know who this is, but I don't think I do.

I think it is a bit weirder now than when I was there.

St. Martin's Episcopal $24,000, tuition was $5,500 in 1986
Yikes
STM was $2900 in the 95-96 school year

tuition numbers to ponder
ESA $19,000
AES $17,000
TC $8,000
STM $9,000
Double the price but for the avg kid you are not getting double the education
Maybe if you have a really gifted kid that has a chance to go Ivy League or get a scholarship to Vandy then yea spend the extra money

We are at ascension, but wanted a smaller school for our girls.
ESA is the real deal. But it’s possible your kid won’t cut it and they have to leave, happens often.
But iMO, kids have always been a little odd that go there 90% of the time.

ESA grad here. I was in the biggest graduating class in school history and we had a great group. Lots of super smart kids, lots of athletic talent, and 90% of the class was normal. We didn't really have cliques and everyone got along
The classes above and below me were...strange, to say the least. From my personal observations, roughly 1 in every 4 classes are awesome, while the rest have the typical "ESA kids." Same goes for athletic talent
ESA is very different now from when I graduated. All about wokeness and safe spaces and shite. Don’t you utter Trump’s name or you’ll get detention. All that being said, your kids will get an amazing education. Just pray that they end up in a good class lmao
I graduated from LSU and have a corporate gig in industrial construction. I went back to ESA a few years ago and gave a talk about how picking degrees with value and how it's okay not to go to college and that there are plenty of other ways to be successful in life. All the teachers got triggered and talked shite about me for weeks, it was glorious. Surprisingly, a lot of the kids reached out to me and said how refreshing it was to hear a different perspective from the "go be a doctor or lawyer" shite that's hammered into their heads. They were even ratting on the teachers that shite talked me LMAO. One of my former teachers was telling their kids afterwards that I should've talked about my white privilege and how it helped me too

I see but why a “top” program? Can’t learn those skills at any school?
We like to win

Roundabout time you graduated?
When I was looking to transfer I toured 2 schools, ESA and STM. I left the STM tour at lunch because it was so big to me. When I went to ESA it was small and everyone was welcoming. Once I enrolled they treated me like one of their own.

My older plays football, baseball, and golf. The younger plays football, soccer, and baseball. I know theyre way too young too project but right now their best sport is baseball but the younger one is a great soccer player too.
