You may have posted the ages of your kids already, but Ascension has the best golf team around. This will continue for the next couple of years at least. Their top 5 players are studs and young. It is very possible that at least 4/5 will play D1 golf.

Roundabout time you graduated?

When I was looking to transfer I toured 2 schools, ESA and STM. I left the STM tour at lunch because it was so big to me. When I went to ESA it was small and everyone was welcoming. Once I enrolled they treated me like one of their own.

2011

I was a Cathedral kid and deadset on STM. Parents forced me to leave for ESA after 5th grade. Cried and cried. Ended up loving it though

I would be severely disappointed if I spent 80k on my kid’s high school education and they chose to forego college

Yeah, that would be tough to swallow.

I was the dumbest bastard in my class by far. Once I went of to college it was easy compared to high school.

I guess I would too

Just wanted to give them a different perspective. Told them stories about our tradesmen, how our CEO didn't graduate college, etc.

STM is nearly 10/11k a year. ND is just below 7k. I'm not sure about TCH

There’s plenty of scholarships/grants to ESA. I wanna say the academic advisor told us they give out like $600k per year or something like that.

Sure, that definitely happens on occasion. But, he probably also didn’t attend an expensive high school either.

I couldn’t imagine paying 20k/year for my kid to attend a school, and then that school has someone come talk to them about how they don’t need to attend college. I would be pissed

How about a shite pile? No, that doesn't work either. I told you I was the dumbest one in my class.

oh they didnt know i was coming with that. i ambushed them

and the whole thing wasnt about "dont go to college," it was about choosing your major wisely and picking marketable degrees. the former was just a side discussion
