Also, I grew up in BR. Memorial stadium (old stadium) was in terrible shape with I was in school and played there for BR High (prior to magnet school).

It's sad because it's actually got the bones of a really great facility. Oh well.

MUCH more opportunity,

on that I agree, and that also has to do with exorbitant taxes here, they turn around and bend over to get a company to move its hq here, or to build a new stadium, but it's usually ultimately subsidized by John Q. Taxpayer

ETA: two new bond issues locally to build a couple of "bridges to nowhere" just because they want to, no need for them at all

it's Ft. Worth so I don't know what the thought process might have been

It's called planning and implementing vs Baton Rouge's Ring Road Hope and Nimbyism.

ah yes, another solution to "no income tax"

Well at least it's a voluntary pay as you use. And the Spanish company put up the money and used tolls to recoup their cost.

Pro stadiums were voted on to, and Arlington decided to get buttfricked all on their own. That's their problem.

No, we do it because we actually have enough money to do it. Allen's stadium was actually approved by voters arsehole.

There are other things the money is going towards as well.

If people in their district want to pay for it, it's none of your god damn business to question it.
