And this is how common in the real world?
For those of us that use our phone for more than tiktok it's very common.

Nah, I left it basic. If you want to get into the processing of it, there are different goals. Apple continues it's spoonfed mentality and it gears it's processing towards here is what I think it should look like. Samsung and android is closer to a real camera where it's basically giving as much data to be as real to the true photo captured as possible.
There isn't a winner in this category, it's different approaches.

Have any of you experienced issues with chrome being very slow and laggy? I have had this problem on my galaxy phone, particular on TD when there's embedded video in the threads. I click on a thread with embedded video and the screen is stuck for 10-20 seconds before I can scroll and when I do eventually scrolI it's very jumpy and not smooth.
I have this issue on my S22+
If I use Firefox, this doesn't happen.

The wife's phone my be using the google keyboard and your phone may be set to use the samsung keyboard.
They'll both be available on your phone.
Try switching it up.

I'm getting the sense that I might need a new phone and am babying my S20 fe 5G because none of the high end Galaxys have a removable mini SE chip.
I like having my photos and music on the phone instead of the cloud.

I always had Motorola phones until this Samsung, I have now.
It is a piece of garbage. Same typo issue you describe. Weak cellular reception. Terrible WiFi calling. Very slow; touch screen and wait two seconds to see if it reacts. Freezes up for a second or two frequently. Screen won't get bright. And on, and on, and on.
I just have to keep it long enough to get to the point mentally that I can throw it and the money I paid for it in the trash.

What model phone do you have? Sounds like you got a very cheap/outdated model. As for the typos just change the keyboard like others have mentioned in this thread.

Then I used my wife's (no pics) Google Pixel to text something. Not a single mistake. It worked so nice and easy.
I bought a Pixel. I liked it so much I bought one for my wife, mother and son.
That way, when something happens that they can't figure out, I can replicate it on mine.
Pixels are very easy to use, IMHO. The predictive text feature works great, too. Cuts way down on typos.

Same for me. I love my phone but the keyboard is a nightmare..I have tried everything to fix it. Nothing helps. I started using talk to text as I am so sick of fixing typos....especially i to o, a to s and k to l and the damn n for the space key. Maddening.

Bottom line is Samsung is at the top of the innovation chain. If you have ANY issue with performance features, there is a fix, period.
Different keyboards and letter sizes, etc have been available for 10 years, easily
The beauty of android and the 100s of devices, is the advanced ability to use several different selections for every aspect of use.
Its better than moronic iphones because of these opportunities. Learn and use them.

Since there are a few Samsung guys in this thread I need to ask y'all a question. It got so bad that I switched to the Samsung browser as my default and I really don't like the interface as much but at least it doesn't lag on tigerdroppings.
Yes, this has been happening to me lately as well. It's very annoying.

Opera is not a bad browser either.
