Blacks break the law, resist arrest, and generally act a fool more than any other race. These are facts.

Innocent people rarely run from the cops.

And running from the cops is asking for them to send the dogs after you.

Poor people are more likely to have a criminal background, thus more likely to run from the cops. And most blacks in Baton Rouge are poor. The well off blacks have all gotten the hell away from the shitty schools by leaving the city for the burbs.

Adjusted for income and economic factors....I actually doubt there is a significant difference.

But the majority of blacks in BRPD's jurisdiction happen to be mostly poor, thus far more likely to have a criminal record. Which makes them FAR more likely to resist arrest, run from the police, or encounter law enforcement at all.

Middle class and wealthy blacks aren't the ones encountering BRPD officers (K-9 or human) regularly. They have long since moved to the suburbs or even out of the state.

Bingo.

But don't expect the Advocate to even ask this question, much less look up police encounters in predominantly poor white neighborhoods in the Florida parishes. Doesn't fit their "blame whitey" agenda.

They are sensing something even if not visually. Smell, sound, whatever.

We had a dog as a kid who was nice to most people but lost her shite when black workmen or delivery people came around. Not with my friends tho for some reason.

Baton Rouge proper is majority black. All things being equal, blacks will have the most encounters with law enforcement K-9s.

But things aren't equal. Blacks in Baton Rouge proper are far more likely to be low income, be high school drop outs, and to have a criminal record. They are also more likely to live in high crime zip codes that require far more police resources than other zip codes where housing is much cheaper than Louisiana's average neighborhood.

Whites in Baton Rouge proper are more likely to be wealthy by comparison, and live in neighborhoods like Goodwood, Hundred Oaks, or Bocage which are far more expensive than the average Louisiana neighborhood. Wealthy people and upper middle class people are more likely to be highly educated and employed. They are less likely to have a criminal record, and less likely to break the law. If they do, they are less likely to encounter a police officer in neighborhoods where crime is nearly non-existent.

So blacks have a disproportionately high likelihood to have an encounter of any type with any law enforcement officer, not just K-9s. This has nothing to do with racism. It's just the way things stack up demographically in this city. Had Baton Rouge not stopped annexing white middle class neighborhoods in the 1970s, things would be different today and you'd see a wider variety of middle and working class people making up the city. The city limits happen to be drawn around a grouping of particularly poor and particularly wealthy neighborhoods.

Go to Denham Springs or Watson, and white trailer park dwellers are far more likely to be face to face with a police K-9 than a black person. Head over to New Roads, Grand Coteaux, or Breaux Bridge and you'll find that the K-9s are most likely going hitting up a bunch of cajuns.

Advocate is being intentionally misleading and trying to create division. frick them and the activist journalists that they staff. This agenda-driven coverage is why no one trusts the media anymore.

This is far to nuanced for The Advocate to cover, even if it didn't conflict with the agenda that they try to push every day.

Just the other day I was at the racist convention and it was on the memo that dogs are racist now after they signed the racist trade agreement with us.

K9s don't decide who they bite. Their handler does. This is the problem with stats... you can find support for whatever preconceived notion you have by either skimming the surface or getting down to a small details. Really asinine that this woke bullshite is going this far. What's next...candy bars are racist because they're black and brown? Or a white man owning a black car is racist? Seriously...send all these liberal cocksuckers to Cuba or Liberia.

I'm going to take a few minutes and post some excerpts from the article and then put my spin on it to see if I can come up with a common denominator. Here goes.

quote:

Charles Carey was riding his dirt bike through north Baton Rouge in June 2019 when a police cruiser flipped on its lights.

The bike had no license plate, and the 17-year-old thought police just wanted it off the road, he said. So he sped away. Officers gave chase.

Yeah, so that's a lie or he wouldn't have...

quote:

He hit a stump and went flying, busting open his chin. He got up and ran, then hid under a house.

So, he ran from the cops that he fricked around and found out had.....

quote:

Officers set loose a dog to go after him. The animal bit his foot, then his knee.

Now I'm just going to help the Advocate out with some missing information....my changes will be in bold

quote:

Between 2017 and 2019, Baton Rouge police dogs bit at least 146 people that decided to run from police with a K-9 unit, records show.

quote:

The Baton Rouge Police Department is an extreme outlier compared with many other police agencies across the country, in how often people run from the police, thus causing it to use dogs to subdue people of all ages

quote:

A joint analysis by The Advocate and The Marshall Project found that the BRPD had the second highest per-capita rate of dogs biting suspects, who decided to run from the police, of the cities examined.

quote:

The results were particularly striking when it came to juveniles, who are much more likely to be bitten in Baton Rouge than in any of the 12 other cities for which reporters could obtain the age of the suspects that chose to run from the police.

quote:

Reporters also found that, in an overwhelming majority of cases, there was no evidence the people bitten by K-9s posed a grave threat, other than their unwillingness to be detained for the minor crime they committed.

quote:

The BRPD defended its extensive use of police dogs, saying those bitten were suspected of serious crimes and were resisting arrest, either by hiding from police or running.

“Every single person that we caught was in the process of committing a felony, they were possibly armed and they were resisting arrest,” said Capt. Wayne Martin, a longtime K-9 officer and now commander of the Uniform Patrol Bureau. “If any one of those things is absent, we don’t use the dogs.”

Notice there is nothing bold in that last quote. It pretty much sums it all up for us. frick the Advocate. I'm assuming everyone sees the theme here, the real reason why so many are bitten by dogs. QUIT RUNNING FROM THE COPS, ASSHOLES!!
