They were stealing from a Louis Vuitton store. There's probably 20 cameras in that store alone.

Bill Walton with one of greatest quotes of all time: “I am sad, disappointed and embarrassed. This is a very big deal,” Walton said. “The noble purpose here has been stained. Our host, Alibaba China, the people, they have been better than perfect in everything. They’ve done everything right to make this all work. Now members of our family have displayed an appalling lack of honor, a lack of respect, a lack of decency by doing something in someone else’s home that they would never do in their own. And I want to apologize right now on behalf of the human race for this travesty.”

Zero sympathy for these college kids. Don't be a shitehead and steal from a foreign country, I guess they thought they were in America.

Trying to be ballers .. lock their arses up.

The Ball kid is 6'5. The other two are 6'10. This makes them stand out like sore thumbs in China.
I’m going to think there’s some other reason why the three UCLA players would really, really stand out in a Chinese high end store.

IT is easier for them to get away with at home. Celebrities are rarely prosecuted for crimes in L.A.

I read this in Bill Walton voice imagining him in a tie-dyed t-shirt and doing multiple hand gyrations.

Because they didn't have the standard Chinese "Moe Howard" haircut?

They stole from 3 stores, and all on video.

Well, except for the part about "never would do it here." I bet they would.

3-10 years is what is being reported. There is one more thing that makes them even more stupid. The Ball kid is 6'5. The other two are 6'10. This makes them stand out like sore thumbs in China.

The fact that they are black in China already moves them to the front of the line regardless of how tall they are in China. These morons were doomed the second they walked into the mall. If I was black I would be super pissed as well because this just reinforces the Chinese stereotype about black people sadly.

I agree. The school should’ve known it’s players weren’t capable of acting civilized.
