If I was bored/had more time, I'd go back through the facebook posts I've seen of people complaining of getting very late or no mail for the past few years.
Depending on where you lived, the USPS has sucked for YEARS. As in, you might not get your mail for a week at a time or only a percentage with some pieces showing up WEEKS/MONTHS later.

My wife bought some soaps during body works sale.
She bought them end of November, and they still haven't shown up. In some warehouse in Tenn, lol.
They have credited her 2 times, gave her a $10 credit, etc.

I had a package ship from China. Made it all the way to the USPS on Constitution in BR. They lost it delivering it 3 blocks to my office.

i have a usps story for you. my family and i applied for 4 passports on 12-23. Mine came in the mail yesterday, my wife's has been received and is still in application stage according to the state department web site. Neither one of my kids is showing up on the state department's website. Keep in mind all of these were processed at out local USPS and supposedly mailed off the same day....

Something is going on there in the last 2 months. Might have something to do with the politics going on. I’ve never had any trouble with the USPS prior to the last 2 months.

Wrong.
I’ve always seen complaints about mail before 2020. I even saw people get notice of what they are getting using the USPS where it’s scanned before going out for delivery service and never get it.
It’s reason most would never really expected an election to rely so heavily upon it in some states.
If given a choice i don’t rely on it for important items.
Pretty sure you are just making this up.
