I know in high school, (early 80's) BK always microwaved the basic burgers for some odd reason. bun warmish. pickle? surface of sun hot.

When your commercials show the patties in your signature item so thin you could read through them, they aren’t even trying to make a decent product

My favorite burger growing up was the Husky Jr. from Hardy's. Two patties, cheese and special sauce.
They were tasty!

Every exit on the interstate has some version of a hamburger for sale and they vary up or down on the quality or tastes to some degree.

I've liked Burger King over the years and I enjoy Jack in the Box, Whataburger, and others, but what makes me want to want to turn a bulldozer loose on all Burger Doodles, is their service or lack of. Horrible.

Yeah, Chik fil A has quick service but if you can get out of there for less than $15 buck, good on you and Sonic is torture having to speak to the order taker.

Burger King has the slowest and most inaccurate order fulfillment of them all and that's what I hate about them.

DJT knows.

I am so thankful there are over a dozen places in the Lafayette area to get a great burger so I don't feel the need to eat a crappy private equity burger.

The one in our area is pretty stable. A while back driving through BR and in a hurry we stopped at the one on Sherwood right off the interstate. Legit scary.

Hate to tell you but they have been putting frozen patties into the automated conveyor for ever. My first real job was at BK in 1983. My first position i trained on was putting frozen patties in the conveyor belt.

Yes this was shown clearly on foods that built America or one of the spinoffs.

Almost all of the youtube reviews I have seen say it was much better than the Big Arch, maybe you went to a poorly run BK. To be fair though, I'm sure most of the BK's are poorly run !

They didn’t stop doing this. They still flame broil it but now frozen patties are placed into an automated conveyor belt system that flame broils them. If you remember when Burger King was much better the wait time was longer to get your food. That’s because they used to flame broil them by hand over open flame. Now they use automated flame broils system and precook the patties to cut down wait times. Where the quality is reduced is the precooked patties are placed into tray warmers and it dries them out. If you get lucky and get a burger with fresh cooked patties off the machine then it’s close to what it used to be

I worked there in the 90s and this system was already in place. So that's not a recent change at all.

Not sure when it changed or if any still do it but I can remember when you could actually see the burgers cooking over the flames.

When I worked at Milo’s years ago, cooked patties were placed in a pan filled with beef broth to preserve the moisture.

I got a whopper for free with Walmart plus. It was good, taste the same to me but I haven't had a whopper in a few years. Also got a caddy shack peace tea and a side of jalapeno cheddar bites which were also good.
