Once I left I realized that its amazing what you can normalize, beggars on every corner, etc.

Anywhere is better than NOLA.

Someone got smoked on St Charles Avenue in broad daylight yesterday. Is that the ghetto, dipshite? Oh I guess you missed the news that Teedy got re-elected. You said if that happened you’d disappear.

Honestly, it is a shitty part of St Charles.

Not sure it is a murdin' part of St Charles, but that area is ghetto AF.

Dude you are so full of shite

There are some people that can afford two houses. Probably a shocker for you but that's reality for some adults.

So where is your moms house located in New Orleans that is a bastion of safety in an otherwise wasteland of crime and detrius?

You bought a 500k traphouse in that area bro.

No one who had lived in NOLA for the last 75 years would think that area is good.

Trust me, I've never claimed that to nobody, not once ever.

They killed a worker at Mr Johns steakhouse who was unfortunately taking out the trash. This isn’t a bad area at all.

The victim was not a thug but a good kid btw before you prejudge.

Honestly for several years there was zero issue. No problems whatsoever. It was very quiet there.

I needed a place to stay in NOLA. I could have purchased elsewhere in the city, I understand. I did it as an investment as well. It was a gamble, it paid off in the end.

What's the rest of the story. As this wasn't even the first incident of the day there.

A lot of areas got quiet for a while. I moved out of East/West Riverside because, even though it was quiet, it wasn't going to stay that way.

A lot of people who put money in midcity, central city, 9th, treme are about to lose their arse when money pulls back some.

As Dr John once said “right place at the wrong time.” The kid who was killed was from a very wealthy family and drug free.

I completely agree. I saw the writing on the wall and I think I got out at exactly the right time. They are getting ready to crank up interest rates and the housing market is going to get hammered. The fact the city is going downhill fast is making it worse.

We have friends that live in mid city that we’re born and raised in NOLA going back generations that are seeing crime in areas near them that never had issues. They are “die hard” NOLA folks and they spend less and less time in the city. I honestly think they are going to sell their place there and move out of state.

They are only seeing crimes in areas they don't remember, not in areas they haven't seen.

Irish Channel and maybe balck pearl are the only two area who wont see a back slide.

Be ready with cash and you can create some wealth.

Me and my family share a condo in the warehouse district. I live 9 minutes away from it.

Anymore questions?

In 2015ish a friend of mine lived in the warehouse district. A kid on a bicycle rolled up to him on sidewalk, put a gun in his face and robbed him. He went in to work that day and demanded a transfer or he was leaving his company. He was moved from NOLA in about a week.

I know you think you live in a safe area but you don’t. Even though you’re a jackass, keep your head on a swivel.

Good luck with your new city council and Mayor. Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse.
