I'm curious if the gun's rights crowd is OK with the BLM protesters bringing legal guns to their protests if they are licensed to carry. I would think it's considered within their rights under the constitution.

I can only speak for myself, not the "crowd." But I think anyone showing off a gun at a supposedly peaceful protest is an idiot, and possibly psychotic. They're misusing a fine instrument that has many legitimate uses, but intimidation is not one of them.

They should watch the video of that dead dumbass out in Austin

KVUE Story
Multiple videos and some screenshots are out there.

The dead dumbass had a brand new, shiny AK47. He and a group of "protesters" approached a vehicle attempting to inch it's way through the crowd. The dead guy approached the car and raised the rifle. The driver of the car shot a few times, hitting and killing only the dumbass with the rifle.

1. Not sure why you would think otherwise
2. Having to have a license to exercise does not seem to jive with

You should instead be asking why the gun confiscation crowd is suddenly arming itself.

Thanks. I had to tune out some of the peaceful protest coverage after getting pissed off watching videos late night. Surprised none of my Austin friends have posted about this on FB, but they've barely mentioned the protests in their fair city at all.

Looks like the dude was feeling pretty tacticool before he trew shite into the ceiling fan:

Here's a post by the Colorado Springs police about protesters.

Gas Masks are an escalation.

Gas Masks being worn by protesters after they were gassed is a sign of escalation and violence.

How is showing up with actual weapons not one?

Why did one side show up armed to the teeth(although, in fairness, not all knew how to operate them. Mostly cosplayers it seems), but the other side who showed up un-armed is accused of being the threatening ones?

There is a screenshot taken from a cell phone video of the altercation that shows him with the rifle raised and pointed toward the vehicle. It was posted in the original thread here.

Protests always bring out the most ridiculous looking folks on both sides.

100% this. It's like all the patrons of dollar general and Walmart had thousands of babies and collected them in one area.

beautiful anecdotal evidence dipshit

exactly the same numbers of them on both sides and that person you found is probably faking anyway, but by all means go ahead and fall for it

Nope, if they touch it the land reverts back to the family that donated it.

You're assuming that the rule of law is still an actual thing.

How can anyone think being on either side is an intelligent thing to do. Both sides are being played for fools. Which isn't a hard trick at all.

I don't like the idea of it either, but if they are following the laws of the state they're in and carrying, they should be allowed to do so.

Either you support a right, or you don't. You don't stop supporting a right just because someone you disagree with exercises it as well.

Because the group that was threatening to show up to their protest had previously protested in the same location heavily armed?

But you knew that.

"Don't protect yourself from this noxious gas we're about to spray at you."

I'm no fan of BLM and I'd like to chase "Antifa" into the ocean with a bayonet, but that is fricking stupid.
