Someone let me know whether I should even try to go skiing this weekend

That would be fricking miserable. Beautiful, but miserable.

Those roads up to the mountain are going to SUUUUCK. Ice downhill is undefeated.

Driving up to frisco/Breckinridge on Friday

If you need a damn good beer in Frisco/Breck both Outer Range and Broken Compass are awesome.

Outer Range is a little more pretentious, where Broken Compass has more of a dive bar feel.

The only reason they name the storms is so insurance companies can charge you a higher deductible when you make a claim.

Named storm deductibles are triggered by a tropical depression, tropical storm or hurricane that is severe enough to be named by the National Weather Service.

The Weather Channel, a privately owned weather organization, recently began naming winter storms in order to make tracking them easier for its viewers. However, insurance providers only apply named storm deductibles to storms named by the National Weather Service.

No doubt we are going to get some pictures from the lift lines at Vail's Chair 5 showing 2 hour waits like the last time they got a storm that hit on the weekend

To hell with that

I skied at Vail Monday/Tuesday and Beaver Creek today and didn't have to wait in a single lift line today and that was with 6 inches of snow. Knee deep powder in some places. No crowds. At Vail Mon/Tue I had to wait in maybe 3 lines total and no longer than 2 minutes. I could never ski on a weekend.

Would be nice.

What exactly sounds nice about that? I swear some people just say shite like this to sound defiant. It’s like some Colorado dude seeing our heat indexes and sharing wow sounds nice. Like dude shut the hell up.
