I tried online dating for the first time (Tinder) and was on it for 3-4 weeks. Was the wildest 3-4 weeks of my life and then I met my now fiancé in the 4th week via Tinder. You get really good at screening fast and it ultimately worked for me.

Matched with a girl on Tinder when I moved to a new city and we coincidentally lived in the same building. We never smashed but became good friends and she wing-manned for me and got me laid quite a few times.

Me and my fiancee met on Tinder. It CAN work, but what a lot of people fail to mention when they say they get a successful relationship from the app is the amount of bullshite it takes until you finally meet that person. I had been using dating apps for years and dealt with a lot of bots/scammers/chicks that match and then just ghost after the first message or two. Had a couple dates set up that stood me up without a courtesy call or text. Then some matches that keep kicking the can down the road when trying to arrange a meetup that ended up just being a waste of time.

It is worth it when you snag the rare catch though.
