Delta has "boarding time" printed on their tickets. Usually says 45-50 min before the flight takes off. Which is BS. You need to be in the gate area 15 min before your flight and on the plane 10 min before departure.

So don't feel like you're in a rush bc of the boarding time.

Beta blockers are better at preventing panic than klonopin/xanax etc IMO.

Hour is plenty to walk between 1-3 concourses in ATL. Assuming you're landing on time/early.

HOw much you weigh and how much do you take regularly? I'd need 4-5 to really knock my arse out. I take klonopin regularly.

If you're actually freaking out I'd start taking them now. They build up like a son of a bitch. The idea is to be pretty faded by the time the day begins.

Put em under your tongue. Works faster and they're delicious.

Nope, I've taken 5 or 6 mg before and I take it regularly

It all depends on your size and tolerance

I take Xanax and alcohol. Wards off panic attacks. I am extremely claustrophobic. Being closed in with all those people does me in.

Xanax takes the edge off. Good luck

There was a dateline (I think it was dateline) episode about a guy who taught classes to people with fear of flying. Google it and watch it, it's only 30 minutes I think. It could ease your mind a bit and there are some pointers on how to deal with the fear

This. Felt like a roller coaster last time I flew. They usually sell alcohol on the plane which helps.

you are statisticly more likely to die smoking klonopins in the terminal waiting to board than on the plane itself
FIFY

Seriously though, turbulence is no big deal. It can either mean that the clouds are more fluffy or one of the engines went out because it sucked a bird into it(Sully Sullenberger or whatever miracle on the Hudson). You'll just smash into the ground and not have to worry about drowning. Just don't do like this guy

This is a very constructive and helpful contribution to a fellow suffering from anxiety who is working against a hard-fast deadline and is committed to Klonopin and cannot change his meds now.

Possibly you might have waited until after his flights to volunteer that it's your considered medical opinion, doctor, that he's taking the WRONG medicine!?

I used to be scared poopless of flying until I did these few things the first time I flew and it has helped ever since. I would YouTube videos of takeoffs and landings. When you start to learn what to expect while flying, you start to realize just how safe it is.

Also, prior to everyone boarding the plane the one of the pilots usually stand near the entrance of the ramp. Spark up a conversation with them and let them know you're nervous. I did this once and the dude was real cool about it and starting spouting off his military and private flying experience. At this point I felt more confident that I was in good hands and it helped calm me a little.
