Actually ford produced what was the Super Cobra Jet. The Beast had a 4-bolt main block, a Holley 780 cfm 4BBL carburetor, and a boss cam. Rear End was either a 3.91 or 4.30 with Detroit Locker. The 70 SCJ was rated at 375 hp but were actually dialed down and produced around 475 hp range. This was for insurance. Ford was a little late to the game but the 70 SCJ was the most powerful engine ever offered at time.
