Best BBQ I've had in my life was from a trailer smoker in a parking lot in Helena, AR. The king biscuit blues fest in the late 90s was a super fun weekend.

Newark actually has a couple of really good places. Not many but a few.

NOLA #1... Next it will be Dover, Delaware rated as best Creole/Cajun food in the country.

Charlotte is def not the bbq capital of NC.

Lexington is. They have a bbq festival that attracts hundreds of thousands of people every year.

Homestead FLA has a mom and pop BBQ place (Shiver’s BBQ) that is the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten.

In fairness, the best BBQ in Texas isn't in the big cities. Its in shacks run by third generation pitmasters 100 miles from any place with a decent airport

Seattle making the list has got to be the result of low expectations or something. People over-rating mediocre bbq because they don't know any better.

“I’ve had a hankering for NJ BBQ for awhile.”

Can't agree with this. That's just too far NOLA doesn't belong anywhere near the top of a list of the best BBQ cities, but there is decent BBQ here.

This is completely false. New Orleans has changed over the past 10 years and now has some good BBQ places.

But obviously shouldn't be #1

BS! Good for NOLA maybe but def not worthy of a “Top list”.

Texas, North Carolina, Memphis, Kansas City are the BBQ capitals of North America.

Each region, state is completely different in terms of the meats and seasonings they use but they are the very best in their respective categories.
