The Federal gov’t is booming. Northern VA is the epicenter of businesses leeching off the taxpayers.

This and every politician has their hand out when people consider doing business here. You got to pay to play and it doesn't help the state.

N.C. is where it’s at.

Great business climate, great weather climate, and rock solid state finances.

Not perfect, but there’s a reason why I can see from my office new HQs under construction for Lending Tree, Honeywell, and Duke Energy. With Ally Bank unofficially building a new HQ down the block. Not to mention the new HQ for BBT/SunTrust HQ down the road a bit and Lowe’s new 2,000 person tech center just announced just outside of downtown Charlotte.

That was skewed by the incredible GDP growth from Lake Charles. It surpassed even Silicon Valley for a couple of years.

The rest of the state didn't enjoy much of that, although Baton Rouge and New Orleans had some good years in there. Now that Lake Charles growth has leveled off, the statewide number is returning to its normal shitty position.

There's another $30 billion dollar project in the pipeline. It will be booming for a few more years in LC.

It will, but that won't be enough to drive the GDP increase like it did a couple of years ago. The GDP growth has leveled off, not the growth of Lake Charles, if that makes sense.

It does. There will still be GDP growth in LC but not leading the nation type of growth like in '16.

Overall growth will continue as well.

NC is strong. The economies of Charlotte and Raleigh are crushing it. Not too many other states besides Texas that have multiple metro areas that are doing so well.

Just moved back to Louisiana. I work in Business management consulting. Woof.
