Looks like the last storm is going to be there in a few mins. Nothing serious just a heavy thunderstorm.

There's already lighting and thunder EAST of Atlanta right now in Gwinnett County..... zero precip, zero radar. The atmosphere is charged.

Yeah, I worked in the metal finishing shop there for a couple of years after the military. Vats of shite that strips the paint right off of tank parts. I shudder to think of it getting slung around everywhere.

I'm going to need to see a photo before I believe this, but that tornado was violent.

Circulation has broadened quite a bit on that cell headed into GA.

Cocker with Fox 6 is on the phone on live TV trying to get a confirmation.

JPD(FOX6 weatherman) was the one to announce it.

Eta:

Just said major damage but not gone.

Thanks for all the calls, texts and emails and we do have extensive damage in Jacksonville. I can confirm we have major roof damage at Pete Mathews Coliseum, but The Pete is not completely destroyed. We have staff on site and will update as soon as possible.

Yeah, it's bad bad stuff. Every time they would come replenish the vat, the building had to be cleared with nobody within 50' of it. Report on it if you're interested - and yes, I worked "the line", so I was constantly bending over these vats to hook/unhook crates.

Still looks pretty good to me.

Big meso rolling toward Northern ATL. Looking Roswell and points south. Broad rotation but showing a stout wind front with it.
