Latest NAM run would suggest that it correct.

I'm seeing that uptown New Orleans won't get anything more than maybe 6" of rain. Not flaming, just looking for someone to tell me I'm wrong.

Forward speed is usually the primary concern with flooding and tropical systems.

I haven't gotten a water advisory yet since I moved here, but this will be my first storm since I moved to the beach.

I'm filling up my extra bathtub.

Cindy is such a mess of a system with no end to the dry air and shear until it gets closed to landfall. It would be extremely surprising to see more strengthening.

How many inches rain is the Lafayette area projected to get? Last I read, it was around 4". Is this still about what's expected through Friday?

Shell Beach now with a 5 foot storm tide at low astronomical tide. High tide will be about 1.4 feet higher at about noon tomorrow.
