I hope not. I've got a second interview tomorrow morning.
Me too
It being delayed would hurt me because I expect another offer that I won't be able to sit on any day now.

Great, now Cindy will have a Lifetime movie.
Well done.

Honestly, I didn't think about the AC today. The OK family will still be cool without it. We are always ready for no electricity or a flood situation.
I'm ready for no electricity, I'd just like to have that one creature comfort.
Didn't buy any bottled water today though.

I have no problem playing one offer against another, so I'm not worried about that.

Interview is in Long Beach, and I live on Biloxi beach. I'm mostly just worried about the condition of 90 in the morning. My car rides pretty low, and I took the top and doors off my Jeep two weeks ago.
I guess I'll either take my car and pray, or take my girlfriend's truck.

No real changes on the 00z GFS, moves the system off to the NW but the upper level setup continues to favor divergence aloft. Then the circulation of Cindy aids in low level convergence in the area under the favorable upper level divergence. This leads to a prolonged period of heavy rain in the roughly the same area even as the system moves off to the NW.

Wtf... from Lafourche Parish:
quote:
The Parish is in a State of Emergency. Sadly for the first time since I'm a councilman and a State of Emergency has been called there is no one working at the Emergency operation Center answering phone calls for Emergency. If any one needs anything please call my cell anytime I will do my best to help you out. Thanks

Yeah me neither, but I'm saying that if my interview gets delayed I may not be getting that second offer until after I have to decide to take the first or roll the dice on getting the second one. The timing was already tight in order to have both offers on the table at one time.

Still not an issue, unless you sign some kind of contract when you accept the offer.
Even if you sign an offer letter, it's not binding.
At-will is a two-way street.

So the upper level set up basically stays the same, justifying the precip predictions with a steep gradient of rainfall from 10" around Bay St. Louis to maybe 4" in BR.
Warm moist air gets forced into the area with the best divergence and there it has an outlet to rise up and escape. Leaving New Orleans to Pensacola looking like Atlantis.

True, but I'd prefer be able to turn one down and accept another rather than accept the first as a backup plan.
The offer would be at will, but I'd prefer not burn a bridge if I don't have to. But I have gone over that scenario a bunch of times in my head so I appreciate your advice
Eta: hope it works out for you, good luck man. Get those doors back on the jeep
