If Trump wins there will be many openings in Hollywood when those assholes leave the country as promised.

Make lists. Lots of lists.
I'm in a sector where getting fired with zero notice is just the way it works due to companies being bought and sold. I take exactly one day to decompress, then on day two it's up before the sunrise where my fulltime job is finding another gig.
Which is always better than the last one. Best of luck.

Indeed was the best site 3 years ago. They have skills tests you can take. That helps because employers can filter out unqualified candidates in advance. As opposed to paper resumes where the hiring manager can get cross-eyed reading spray and pray types or grifters who want to get rejected.
They also tell you how many other candidates applied.

Treat the job hunt like a job.
Work the phones or the internet from 8-5 looking, applying, networking. Update your Linkedin profile to indicate you are open to new opportunities.

The jobs they are creating with govt money isnt going to native born Americans.
The jobs being created by government debt are shite jobs for these unskilled migrants to do rich people's housework and janitor duties.

Employment for native-born Americans fell by 183,000 from the fourth quarter of 2019 to the fourth quarter of 2023. The number of foreign-born workers rose by almost 2.9 million

First bit of advice, OP. Ignore this bit here entirely and don't think twice:
This is unfortunately an attitude that is pervasive in this region and it's completely untrue if you have a family who loves you. I feel bad for this person.
Second, understand that it will be okay. Not that things will work out how you want them, but that whatever direction it goes, everything is going to be alright.
Enjoy some time off if you can afford it, be thankful you have a loving family. Apply to jobs. Put your best foot forward, that's all you can do. Most of all try not let the stress bleed into other areas. There's reason to be a little more forward thinking, but at the end of the day a job is a job. It is not your life.

This happened over and over in my life. We survived and some times it left me wondering why I didn't make the move sooner. Use this opportunity to better yourself. People who want to work, find a way. This is where friends come in handy. Good luck and God Bless.

Right now you might look at Amazon or UPS for holiday work.
This is really good advice. Amazon pays really well too. Gets your foot in the door and might open up other opportunities for you.

I got a response back from them recently for a regional manager role that I applied for and tested for a few weeks prior and they told me my salary expectations were high for them. Had already taken a job with another company but was surprised to hear that.

True. I think there are a lot of crappy jobs right now. But if you are unemployed beggars can’t be choosy.

Everyone has been there. Always leads to something better. You'll learn more with each new place of employment.
It sucks but you'll be okay

When you are looking in multiple States, it is easy to find 3 or 4 jobs per day, per State to apply too.
I average between 70-80 job applications a week
