August 10, 1856 - Last Island (Terrebonne) - Cat 4 - 130 kts
August 11, 1860 - Grand Isle - Cat 3 - 110 kts; Gulfport/Biloxi - Cat 3 - 100 kts
August 19, 1888 - Cocodrie (Terrebonne) - Cat 2 - 85 kts
August 14-15, 1901 - Buras (Plaquemines) - Cat 1 - 85 kts; Ocean Springs - Cat 1 - 85 kts
August 25, 1926 - Cocodrie - Cat 3 - 100 kts
August 6-7, 1940 - Port Arthur, TX - Cat 2 - 85 kts (offshore parallel to SE LA coast)
