Maduro was a fraud like Brandon. Only competent, wholly corrupt and a legit tyrant. At least Brandon was too senile to be any of that. Now if only we can actually lock up some of our own former elected officials who towed a lot of the same line. Maybe it's a start.

Everyone is focused on Cuba, but mark my words Daniel Ortega and Nicaragua are next on the list. Not sure how the administration will justify it, but that's the next target.
This administration want China out of this hemisphere and Nicaragua has allowed heavy Chinese investment, but Ortega isn't as bombastic as Maduro. It will be a tough sell.

No, it's about being able to effectively cut China off from global trade when the time comes. That's why the US is going to take back control of the canal and is removing any access China might have in South America. The fact we launched the mission the day the Chinese envoys arrived was not an accident.
