Didn’t Vance talk about incentivizing having kids? What happened to that

Well people do need jobs. The walmart/dollar general/auto zone/home depot/mcdonalds just takes away all the small businesses that any average joe can run. All those profits going to one family, and no one can compete with their prices.

Have 4
You'll figure it out

Didn't they double the child tax credit in the BBB?

People won't have kids because it's too expensive to have them.
Any trend in history will show that

Had two daughters. I did all I could.

Y'all know a lot of families on the street because they had one child too many and ended up homeless?

Can’t afford it.
What do you want me to do?

Lmao at the people in this thread trying to make this mainly economic. It’s cultural 100%. Either women are just outright not wanting kids, or they don’t want kids because it would make them slightly less comfortable. That’s not “it’s too expensive to have kids”, that’s a cultural mindset reflecting materialism over meaning.
“No! These 25-year old lib women would be popping them out if they just were paid more!”

Either women are just outright not wanting kids
So, women can be blamed in part but there are a lot of men who think the same way

Got three. One, then two and three together.

No. It went up 10%. From 2k to 2,200.
It should have gone from 2k to 20k.

In all seriousness, it's tough out there to some extent, I get it.
But people who will say car prices are out of control but prioritize it/go deep into debt/etc. to get a vehicle they kind of like - "No real choice, have to do it - have to get to work!" will also decide to give up on arguably the most quintessential human experience because it's too expensive.

Seriously, what's happening is greatly jab related. It's working as designed and there is nothing we can do about it. Like it or not, jabbed or not, it's the truth.

This kinda rubs me the wrong way.
I can’t tell you how many pictures I see of people taking vacations to exotic places.
How big houses have become etc etc.
I’m not trying to say having kids is cheap or easy but when we had our first there wa never a thought about “daycare is this much” or can I afford this car etc.
Even if we had there’s no way we would have appropriately budgeted because they cost way more than you ever think
You figure it out.
Also maybe traveling to Europe or South America etc etc shouldn’t be as normalized as it is.
When I was a kid traveling outside of the US was for the 1%
Heck I’m not sure my parents got on an airplane as a kid.
We drove to many of my family vacations when I was young and we stayed at the holiday inn. Not the 4 bedroom vrbo with a pool next to the hip taco stand with a walk out to a private beach on 30a.
I’m guilty of trying to keep up with the joneses at times too but still make time for a family.
