That adds up to dry shite if you cant feed, refuel and resupply. Its a sustainment and logistical nightmare, there would be zero infrastructure to support that many people and those different calibers.

Military has a hard time with insurgents. It is a tough call, but I think most people in the US are dumb enough to try and fight a tank head on

Who could believe a well armed group of civilians could defeat the US Military? Turns out quite a few in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan believe it.

They didn't take an oath to protect the military, they took an oath to protect against enemies foreign and domestic. They also swore to abide by the orders of the president, but in the hypothetical scenario, the president would be a domestic threat

Ive changed my views on this in the past few days. I think the US defeats its citizens, but that it would not be as easy as some think

I took this scenario as a no holds barred, no prisoners scenario.
OP probably needs to be more specific on the ROE because that does change things.
