well , completely dropped the ball on Valentine's Day .. anyone know of a good place to go eat I could still find a reservation for on Thursday ?

With Valentine's falling on a Thursday, good luck to the OP finding a reservation anywhere this entire weekend. Maybe Wednesday night but Thurs-Sat every decent place will pack people in like sardines where you are within arms reach of 3 other tables plates.

I got off easy this year. Mrs. Hogwarts and I are going out of town for the weekend so I don't have to take her out to dinner on Valentine's day.

My move is bringing home take-out and having a romantic night in. It's special and we don't have to wait an hour for a table
Our first date included dinner at an olive garden (can't wait for the F&D board guys to get here to make fun of me) so I'll be grabbing some stuff from there on my way home
