One the recent studies on Teslas contradicts all the numbers you posted. Maybe “Troy” is legit about the Chevy Volt but it certainly is not the standard in the industry. At best, it’s cherry-picking data.

In a sense you are right of course.
However, the heavily-subsidized hybrid Chevy Volt was intended to be an "EV-baptism" of sorts, baiting "the socially-aware & guilty" into advertising the whole Electric Car mindset by having it parked in their driveway/street.
