Passed by Costco yesterday morning about 7:30 in Frisco. There were already about 100 people lined up waiting to get in, and store doesn't open until 10:00..

They were already doing this at Publix in Auburn. Friend of mine waited over an hour to get to the front door. Line wrapped around the building.
Went to Cary Creek Publix in Auburn today they weren't counting people. Walked in and out in 10 minutes.

Of the 3 supermarkets near me, 1 of the 3 has been only letting in 20 or so people at a time and people waiting in line outside since this started.
That's been the one I go to.
It's preferable to just wait in the line and then the store be pleasantly empty than go into the crowded shite shows the other ones have become.
yea because it's so much safer standing in line outside with other people all around.
come on people. stop living in fear.

Pretty easy to keep your distance in a static line. Come on, quit being dumb.

So create a line outside? Yeah that seems stupid.

Y’all are panicking unnecessarily. As mentioned numerous times, the majority of stores will be metered around 700 shoppers. I highly doubt this number is ever reached in most locations. High volume stores average 5000 transactions total daily. The goal is most likely to discourage families from making an “outing” from it and for people to refrain from making unneeded trips.

I heard in Puerto Rico, people went in 8 at a time for 1 hour then clean for 1 hour then 8 more.....rinse and repeat all day.
Could America do this?

That line is going to stretch to the fricking road.
Empty all the shelves and we can experience what it’s like living in socialist Venezuela!

So you’d rather stand close to people in line for an extended period of time? Got it, you’re a ‘tard.

Person at the Walmart I go to said the calculations for their store meant that no more than 900 or so people could be in the store at once which they said had never ever happened since it was open so I don't think this is going to change things much, at least at the bigger ones.

The Walmart in Gonzales looked like some end of days shite

I calculated the 20% capacity of our local small town Walmart (no tire center, tiny electronics section, mostly clothes and grocery). 525 people is 20%. Not gonna worry about this.

I agree with this.

This is that one time when having only 2 cashiers pays off. Having tons of cashiers would count against the number of customers allowed in the store...

Nope the Walmart over here is only letting 299 people in at a time

Yep, I’ve seen multiple social media complaints of people just walking around Walmart browsing, not buying anything. Idiots doing the exact opposite of what we’ve been asked to do.
