I honestly feel bad for those who missed the 80s.

I do too but let's be honest, the cars were fun and you knew what you saw but they were garbage.

True. The 80s was not the best decade for new cars. But, it was the perfect time for muscle cars. Any kid with an after school job at the local burger joint could afford something like a ‘69 Mustang, Chevelle, Nova, Camaro, Roadrunner, etc., etc. for next to nothing. Now those cars in good condition can cost as much or even more than a lot of brand new luxury automobiles.

Agreed. I grew up in the 80s (ages 4 - 13). For a preteen/early teen boy those were such amazing years.

So many choices of music in all genres (Michael Jackson, Prince, Duran-Duran, Fat Boys, Run DMC, the sunset strip metal bands, early George Strait, Alabama, Springsteen, Mellencamp, SRV).

The the movies (Red Dawn, Top Gun, Rambo, Indiana Jones, Empire/Jedi, Back to the Future, Footloose, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller, Caddyshack, Revenge of the Nerds, E.T., Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Terminator, Fast Times, Karae Kid, Coming to America, Bull Durham, Major League,)

TV had a little of everything (A-Team, Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, Dynasty, LA Law, GI Joe and Transformer cartoons).

Sports ran the gambit from the Miracle on Ice to the LA Olympics, and mix in the '85 Bears (Super Bowl Shuffle, Fridge scores), "The Catch", Pete Rose hits record, Pete Rose banned from the game, Lakers/Celtics, LT, Mets/Red Sox, Tyson/Spinks.

Don't get me started on toys...GI Joe, Transformers, Cabbage Patch Kids, He-Man, Garbage Pail Kids, Atari 2600 and Nintendo.

All good points. The 80s was the apex of American society and culture. Sadly it’s been all downhill since.
