If you want to take a shot at your dream job...
Start a podcast.
Do something unique on your show
Profit
Side note. Why don’t we have a Tigerdroppings Podcast? That would have an instant audience. But it would only last if it was good. The call in section of the show would be gold if some of the frequent posters are able to speak as well as they Type. You could have segments/shows for each of the more popular boards.

Towboat Captain. Enjoy my job and would do it for less money. But don't tell them that.

Restaurant manager. It isn't for everyone but it is what I grew up doing with my family. The company I work for treats us well and I don't have the usual horrors you hear about restaurants

I've dabbled in delineations and credits work. Not really for me. I prefer digging holes and remediation work.

I’m an actor. It’s not for everyone, but it pays the bills and I enjoy it for the most part.

Network administrator.
My team manages, supports, and configured the equipment that gets customer data, video, and voice traffic from point A to point B.
Lots of getting up at 2am to do work, and largely a thankless job. If you are doing it right, nobody knows you did anything at all, except for your boss and fellow team members. I mostly enjoy the work. Enjoy my employer. Hate the overnight work, destroys my sleep cycle for a few days and makes me feel like shite.
Pay is fair. I don't have a college degree, went to tech college.
