One is in a sterile environment. the other is in a world full of germs without open wounds and touching the masks making it worse. You can't see because your nose is in the way.

It ain't just masks............. It's a bunch of things they do and don't do. Keep touching your mask all day and touching things all around the world. And then keep thinking that petri dish mask is not full of germs. Do you have a clue what they do besides the mask? Do you realize how much washing and scrubbing they do before surgery? And on top of that they still get staph. No mask will cure our ills.
Are you suggesting that the mask does nothing without the rest of it?
Do you think it's not better if a potentially sick person keeps his petri dish to himself?

God fricking Damn the OT has gone full retard lately.
N-95 masks protect you from the virus but those aren't in great quantities like the masks you see everywhere.
The masks most people where help to prevent the spread of the virus when a person talks, coughs, or sneezes
Why is it that masks aren't a problem in every other country but here you have anti masks protests and Covid parties?

Nothing. Viruses are so small that they pass right through the common mask materials that are being used. But yea, the do prevent blobs of snot and spit from spraying as far from your face when you sneeze or cough.

This point would be interesting to discuss of history hadn't proven you wrong thousands of times.

3. The narrative changed again. The mask isn't to protect you, it's to protect others from you. You see, your mask won't stop the virus from coming in but it will stop it from going out. A circular logic that has more holes in it than my mask.
FWIW this has been our line of thinking when seeing patients for years in the hospital. If we were really worried about something we’d wear n95s.

You’re going to wear a mask every day for the rest of your life. Get used to it.

Because we have and will always have more freedom than other countries. Don’t like it, leave.

How long to you expect this to continue? Say this is still going on in November. Or February 2021? Or July 2021? Do you think people are going to continue to wear masks covering their faces just because we’re told to? I don’t. I think the media and politicians have maybe another 1-3 months of people taking this seriously, then they’ll make decisions on their own as adults.
to clarify: I wear mine now and have my reasons, but I don’t blame those who don’t. because it’s none of my fricking business.

What happens? You die! Instantly. Obviously.

I get the sarcastic take. Wearing a mask is not the hill I will choose to die on in protecting my rights. That being said, I wear one where I have to, and I don’t wear one anywhere else.

How long to you expect this to continue?
