Got a job as a cook at Golden Corral 8 months later. Worked there about a year then got a job working in a Van conversion place. Most of you wont know what that is. Did that till I went to college

My first job was cashier at Carter’s original grocery store in Denham. I loved it. The Carters are the nicest family in business. Mr. Carter was the kindest, friendliest boss ever. They gave us a lunch allowance for break, gave each employee a turkey every Thanksgiving, and held big Christmas parties where they gave us bonuses. That $50 bonus was HUGE to 15 year old me.

After that, I was clerk at Movieland Video during junior and senior year and remember when DVD’s hit the shelves for the first time. Also worked at a snowball stand during the summers.

Same here. Mowed yards at age 8, worked a concession stand at the ballparks at age 13. If I wanted it, I had to buy it.
