But you want to blame the dems?

there is enough blame to go around...they need to be focused on what is an immediate need for people and put EVERYTHING else on the back burner...but they're politicians and that goes against their nature.

So, what you’re saying is all jobs are gone forever, and we’re all gonna wind up penniless?

no handouts, you will just have to get over it. It's your fault you weren't prepared

Tell that to the airlines who have been hoarding money like a fricking dragon in a Tolkien book and now wants a handout because they used it all to buy back their own stock.

Are you willing to let the American airline industry just go away?

Absolutely nothing, just like 2008. People will live ‘rent free’ until foreclosure happens four or five years later. Time to buy another ATV or Harley.

Didn’t the dems also want to include some things in the bill that had nothing to do with the virus?
A shite ton of things, one being a raise for themselves.

Isn’t this kinda what happened in 2008 with the housing bubble collapse?

Not even close

Really?

Borrowers who could not make the higher payments once the initial grace period ended would try to refinance their mortgages. Refinancing became more difficult, once house prices began to decline in many parts of the USA. Borrowers who found themselves unable to escape higher monthly payments by refinancing began to default. During 2007, lenders had begun foreclosure proceedings on nearly 1.3 million properties, a 79% increase over 2006.[23] This increased to 2.3 million in 2008, an 81% increase vs. 2007.[24] As of August 2008, 9.2% of all mortgages outstanding were either delinquent or in foreclosure.

Sure seems like millions of people could not pay their mortgages but maybe I am not so good with the math.

You do know why the Dems voted against the GOP bill, right?

Because they tried to sneak a lot of shite in that would otherwise fail.

Stop reading the daily talking points. Dems will bail out industry too.

what would it cost to pay off all the mortgages?

less than the Boeing and other corporate bailouts?

math probably isn't your strong suit.

It's why you Dems think that we can pay everyone $1000/month which would cost almost 100% of tax collections.

They are not going anywhere and they still have all that stock they repurchased they can sell albiet at todays price, problem is the BOD will fire every single exec for that.

This is about preserving their own hides not the companies, buying high and selling low in your own stock is not a good look for a CEO.

I’m concerned about pharmacies being robbed. I’ve considered this scenario.

Section 8 is not as common or as much money as you think. Food stamps is about $21 a day to feed 4 people. I’d imagine section 8 isn’t much more.

$147 a week in groceries is a lot of food. It’s not the same as going to a restaurant.
