I appraise residential, commercial and agricultural real estate. Everything is relative to the location, quality of construction, interior finish, etc. There is no such thing as average price per square foot unless you are talking about a cookie cutter subdivision.

Forclosures and empty lots

And the burbs aren't Houston.

One of those was flooded too

False. Unless you're buying builder grade crap in shitty school districts or way the frick out.

True. Research it for yourself. Short of Bellaire and The Woodlands, below 100 psf is easily attainable.

Look, I can do it too.

Yea, I see that. I don't mind paying the steep taxes when I can reap the benefits of those taxes i.e. great schools, adequate road system, etc. unlike B.R.

The cost savings in not having to send my kids to private school will more than pay for the property taxes.

Burbs or smack dab in the middle of it...100 psf. Now, Bellaire and The Woodlands get above 100 psf, but you can still find some under 100 psf.

I live in Bucktown and my house is far from being a dump. It was renovated after Katrina. I had an appraisal about a year and half ago and he appraised at $132.00 a sq. ft. When I saw the final appraisal I told them they were full of shite.

I looked through the link you provided. The Houston addresses were vacant lots, foreclosures, and flooded homes. The only actual viable houses to buy were in Katy, spring, etc.

Your claim was Houston had sub $100psf "all day." The suburbs don't count. Even townhomes I found in Houston were $150+psf

Yeah, that's way too low for that area. They are building $600K and homes all over that area and the values keep going up all around it seems.

Either you want to twist it to fit your argument or you're just ignorant. I can't help you with either, but I do wish you good luck in life. Now go play while the adults talk.

So now you're going to act like a douche because you made a claim and the evidence you provided to support it doesn't prove it?

Interesting strategy to act like a child then tell me the adults are speaking...

Yeah and I assume the rest are similarly way out there or just shitty houses closer in.

Hardly "all day"

I could find that in Dallas but it'll be damn near Addison or in the ghetto.

The first link is a house near Beltway 99...that's listed as a "FIRE SALE"

You're confusing Houston proper with the entirety of Harris County given their municipal government structure. Generally speaking, Houston proper is not something that's closer to College Station than Minute Maid Park
