I see. I guess having the original engine is more desirable because doing a full engine replacement affects a lot of other vehicle components and requires excellent workmanship. You never know if some aspect of the install work wasn't done perfectly right

Yeah, probably target any one with a lot of Central American flags on the lot. If you don't have corroding paint, it'll be the gem of the lot, and someone will buy it at 30%+ interest.

Best is if you can find a new car with trade in assistance from the manufacturer.

Ford and Chevy both have it now.

I had a Kia with the oil issue.

In the past I have donated my old car to a ministry that rehabs older cars for people without one who need it for work/family.

I could not in good conscience donate that car so I took the low ball trade in offer.

Assuming the air blows cold, paint is in decent shape...

It is a 14 year-old Kia with story nobody wants to hear.
