Shreveport has a nice skyline even without the casino hotels. Two of their office buildings over 300 ft are modern by Louisiana standards as they were completed in 1984 and 1986.

The reality is that the economics just aren’t there to build tall buildings in the US in most places.

The ~20 story building seems to be the top out height of the biggest things going up of which there are many still
Just no big time stuff anymore outside a couple in NYC
