Jacksonville city is 900,000
Birmingham city is 200,000
Over 4x bigger

Jacksonville metro 1.7 M
Birmingham metro is 1.1 M
Much more comparable

Shreveport has a nice skyline even without the casino hotels. Two of their office buildings over 300 ft are modern by Louisiana standards as they were completed in 1984 and 1986.

Grew up there. It isn’t. It’s okay, but there is nothing great about it.

Baton Rourrrge is sad but the lights on Exxon’s distillation columns at night give it a certain panache.

The reality is that the economics just aren’t there to build tall buildings in the US in most places.

The ~20 story building seems to be the top out height of the biggest things going up of which there are many still

Just no big time stuff anymore outside a couple in NYC

You been through Pasadena TX ever? I believe it’s over 200k.

You may want to bump up your number to get an actual skyline.
