Video does appear to show an officer kneeling on his head or neck during the incident.

The fact they had the wrong guy doesn't make the arrest illegal. It's all about what the officers believe, and they can believe anything.
It would have been cleared up later, probably on the way downtown.
Never resist arrest. If they are going to frick you up, .make sure your case for suing them into oblivion is solid.

What was he being arrested for? The cops were 100% wrong but want to manhandle the populace for telling them they're wrong.
Being arrested for resisting arrest of a crime he'd not committed.

If you believe that is the suspect and he resists than you have to take them down. That is why you don't resist no matter if you are right or wrong. These police can only go off of what info has been reported to them. Are you saying police shouldn't detain a person unless they are 100% sure it is the right one? If that is the case a lot of criminals will get away.

Telling them they're wrong doesn't mean you're resisting.
Detaining someone doesn't mean you put them on the ground.
A segment of our society has accepted the notion that police can do as they want. They aren't there to help with much of anything. They're there to make you submit to their commands even when they're 100% wrong.
