My second "experience."
When I was around 10 or so years old, I used to always play in the woods behind my house. The same house I grew up in, was also the same house my grandfather (he passed when I was about 1 or so) lived in for almost all of his adult life.
One day after school, I went into the woods behind my house - something I always did. My brother and I were building a fort. Mind you, this was almost 40 years ago, but I can remember it as if it just happened. The woods behind my house (all part of my Dad's land) were mainly of the old oak type with not a lot of undergrowth. As I was walking back to where we were making our fort, I looked up and saw what appeared to be someone sitting at the base of an oak tree - dressed in coveralls and a flannel shirt, with a double-barrel shotgun in his lap. His back was to me so I never saw his face. But that wasn't the odd thing, it was almost as if he was sitting in a ray of sunshine.
I stopped in my tracks, scared shitless, because I didn't know who it was. I turned around and tried to quietly make my way out of the woods. After a step or two I turned to look over my shoulder to keep an eye on him, but he wasn't there. Gone. Not a sound. Well, that terrified me. I ran out as fast as I could. I told my dad about it but when I got the part about him kind of "glowing" (ray of sunlight?), he laughed and said I must have saw a ghost.
Fast forward about 10 years. Dad and I were looking through a family photo album when we came across a picture from Christmas years before I was born. It was of my Grandfather, dressed in the same clothes - color and all - holding a double barrel shotgun that my Dad had given him. That freaked me out. Big time. I told Dad that looked exactly like what I saw years ago. He looked at me and said you must have seen your Grandfather - he often hunted squirrels in the woods behind the house.
Was it or wasn't it? I've always wondered that.

It’s possible, but like you said, generally they’re tied off with string or something. The entire property is fenced in and has been since before I bought it. Anyone hunting here was doing so illegally. It doesn’t make sense for them to leave that in a tree. It’s also possible the old man I bought the place from put it there and forgot, I guess.
I’ve seen people hang them and place them outside like you said for skull mounts and this just didn’t feel like that.
I’m not saying it’s anything at all paranormal related, just with what we’ve been experiencing in the house, it freaked me out. Especially when you consider I have 50 acres, 45 of which is hardwood and I just happened to walk up on the one tree on the property with that in its branches.

They probably do exist. There's all kinds of stuff in this world that we'll ever understand or have the capacity to.
I've always fully expected there to be extra terrestrial life, too.
Those are refuse to believe in what they can't see are uncomfortable that they can't see it.

I’m open to the idea of things existing beyond our understanding. The good thing about whatever my experiences are, is I don’t feel threatened or in anyway that whatever it is wants to do harm. Neither does my family.

I’ll have to see a ghost with my own eyes before I believe in them. Aliens though? Definitely.

Ghosts aren’t real. It’s science and shite

Nope. No way a non living being can exhibit some of the 5 senses.

A paranormal experience is life changing. Is it a ghost? I don't know. What I have experienced is something we cannot explain

I've seen one not knowing it was a ghost when I saw it. It was a little boy who had drowned in the pool of the house friends of mine were renting.
Dang, I’ve spent a lot of time looking but have never spotted a ghost. Have even gone on paranormal ghost hunts. I think you have to somewhat believe in them to see them. I don’t but love the thought of them.

I’m not Catholic, but I’ve always wondered if what we interpret as ghosts are perhaps souls stuck in purgatory. The only other option that I think is plausible are demons, but I’d generally expect some malicious behavior if that were the case.

it is something we cannot piece together yet

There are no ghosts, just neurological or natural phenomena.

It’s all about perspective.

I do not believe in ghosts but they believe in me
They laugh and point at me from the top of my TV
I trundle off to bed to escape their tyranny
I do not believe in ghosts but they believe in me
In my bed they pull my toes and cause me misery
They whisper into my ear, this little mystery
You don’t believe in us but we believe in thee
I pull my blanket over my face to hide my abject fear
Hoping by the light of dawn that they will disappear
All through the night their eery voices I do hear
It surely makes a mere eight hours seem more like a year
I rise to meet another day like a man from the dead
All day long I hear their whispers deep inside my head
We believe in you and you will by us be led
To do the things we want you to
So listen to our point of view
Good is evil and evil is good
What you wouldn’t do you should
It’s easy once you get the hang of it
Any qualms send to banishment
Lose any silly sentiment
You by the devil have been sent
So go forth with fire and glee
To spread our misery
You don’t believe in us but we believe in thee
So who I am I do argue with voices from below
That there are no such things as ghosts this I know
That I would believe in them is an absurdity
I do not believe in them but.....they do believe in me.
