My grandmother is a terrible cook. She used to microwave a cheese single on a tortilla for my lunch. My mom is a better technical cook but my wife has learned to make everything just the way I like it.

My grandmother was an alcoholic and died when my mother was pregnant with me.

My mother's cooking SUCKED until somewhat recently. My grandmother would be sauced and relied on take-out, fondue, fish sticks, etc. for most of my mother's childhood. She had no shot to cook.

My SO is gifted at cooking.

My grandfather was a cook in the Army Air Corp in WWII. He could make something great out of next to nothing. He taught my maw maw to cook. When my father got married he taught my mom to cook. She didn't even know how to cut up a chicken when her and my dad got married. As of who is left living I would say me and mom are close because we cook different things but equally well. My grandmother is a great cook but is losing her touch due to age.

Given the choices, I can only choose me. Never met either of my grandmas, but I'm better than my mom and my old lady.

Me and wife then mom then grandma. Me and wife work it as a team and make everything just the way we like it. Mom is good but doesn't like stuff seasoned as much as we do. Grandma buys a lot of already cooked shite and acts like she made it.

My maternal grandma (RIP ), then my mom and dad.

My paternal grandma couldn't cook worth a shite. My dad survived on PB&J sandwiches

Im actually a better cook than my mom and grandmother. They were just fine cooks, however as time went on, they got less and less patient. I usually have a few drinks while i cook, and am usually not in a hurry, so my food typically comes out better.

Oh sweet Jesus, my gamgam's eggs and pancakes when I was a wee lad. And her heating up the syrup in the microwave.

Here's a sweet CSB: when I was a youngin and my gamgam was making that food for me, an electrician came over the do some work on her house. As soon as he entered, he started sniffing, then smiled and mentioned that his gamgam used to heat up syrup for him when he was a kid. It's just what gamgams do.

My moms mom was a great cook. My dads mom was an ok cook. My mom is not a great cook except for some dishes. My wife is not a great cook but I am a damn good cook and make most of the meals round here.

My late mother in law, now that lady could rattle some pots. She rocked.
