Does anyone still make an aluminum or magnesium deck?

Buy the commercial ones, not the cheap stuff from Home Depot, lowes, etc
DEF this. Got mine from a small local outdoor power shop.

I have an X-Mark, bitches.
I liked that 30inch commercial walk behind but the price was hard to swallow! With a half acre lot that would have been great!

For a small yard, just by a $100 one. I got a yard machine from Walmart 10 years ago. Still going strong, just keep it out the weather
+1
don't overthink it. buy cheap, use no-ethanol gas and run it dry when you park it for the winter.

I had to sell the gold in my tooth filling to afford it.

But get the Cub Cadet from the dealer store not at Lowes etc. The dealer stores have the Cub Cadet with better engine and transmission.

Very satisfied with my Husqvarna.

No need to spend a lot of money.... get a Craftsman with a B&S engine. You will die before it does.

Put Marine Stabile in your gas. Your lawn mower will thank you.

If you buy a Honda commercial mower you will never have to buy another mower. I have had one for twelve years and it never fails to start and do its job. I don't think I have ever changed or sharpened the blades on it.

That's ridiculous. Regardless of the mower, blades need to be sharpened.

Friend of mine uses snapper. It's been going strong for almost 12 years.
This is the new rear engine mower they've been selling. Probably will buy it if I move soon.

Snapper - Briggs Stratton 190 cc. Rear wheel drive. About 17 years old - replaced motor about 7 years ago.
I'm not brand loyal - as long as it's not front wheel drive or Sears brand

I'm on year three of a Honda and it's going strong. I'm religious about keeping up with maintenance and good non ethanol gas in my mower. I had a couple of cheapo Troy Bilt mowers seize up on me, even with taking care of them. Did dome research like you, and got Honda as an answer.
